I am no more.
drunk with presence --
except right here,
but the gentle unfolding
of this moment.
only bright expanse
the same holy Life
in my eyes,
in the old oak,
in the creeping philodendrons
emerald, burgeoning --
the blissful lust of leaves
O, Supreme Emptiness, my dear and only mother!
Pervading all forms, the fabric of all forms,
the sole basis of every universe,
You offer the highest, all-curing medicine
for us who have suffered so long.
In you, no “thing” to be found --
yet infinite, miraculous worlds unfold and turn to dust
in your limitless, totally inclusive embrace.
O, bright luminosity, my sweet and only father!
Radiant, clear, self-knowing —
illuminating all that appears as your own display.
You offer clear light’s great bliss,
the effervescent joy of ultimate knowledge.
In you, no “one” to be found —
yet lucid awareness blazes unceasingly
as your never-ending wisdom expanse.
O, great compassion, my darling, truest friend!
Kind beyond measure,
Shining tirelessly for the liberation of all.
You offer buddhas, bodhisattvas, and gurus,
magnificent guides who free all those that are bound.
In you, only love to be found --
pouring forth as the sacred dharma,
and the warmth of my own heart.
In the union of emptiness and luminosity,
may I be truly freed into the ultimate space of my true nature,
and manifest as spontaneous compassion
that soothes confused beings until none remain.
(This song, praising the three kayas,
was composed on a mountaintop in Ojai,
in the golden light of the setting sun,
by the wandering young fool called Jigme Ngodrub Rinchen.)
May it bring benefit.
For God’s sake, dance!
You put those fearful
chains on yourself —
binding natural freedom
Take them off,
and be wild once again.
so sorry little birdie.
sorry, trees, truly sorry
really, too bad about your only home.
we got caught up with our building --
got distracted, forgot.
it all seemed so important at the time.
now we have nice phones wide screens!
no meadows no streams.
the fastest car ever and lovely cities
where the forests were.
trillions of paper notes
and i miss the smell of the flowers,
and your song.
god, it all seemed so important.

A rare exhibition of blossoming by one of my pet cacti.
I feel tremendously joyous at the creation of this site, because it will allow me to connect with a larger sphere and spread more benefit in the world.
As time permits, I intend to share various musings and updates from my travels through this blog page. Please, keep checking back!
